Blowout on CURLY hair in under 10 minutes + products

Okay, let me start with a note about my hair. Every time I wear it natural, I get so many compliments from everyone else. BUT it is such a handful, so time consuming and it never turns out just right for me. So, 9 times out of 10 when I wash my hair, I blow it out. Sound too daunting and time consuming for you? Not anymore. I have gathered my tried and true products for the PERFECT blowout on any hair type in less time than it takes to finish your two favorite songs on Spotify (sorry, but Spotify > Apple Music)!
1. Kristen Ess Instant Lift Volumizing Mousse
I love love LOVE this mousse. When my hair has a pretty fresh keratin (I'll go into more detail on this in another post so stay tuned!!), I always notice that my hair falls flat. Not to be dramatic but it's like the ***worst*** thing ever! This mousse completely counteracts all of my flat hair woes. And, get this, it HOLDS the volume for days (aka until I have motivation to blowout my hair again)! For $14, I highly recommend this blessing in a bottle. I begin with freshly washed, conditioned & brushed hair. I apply a golfball sized amount to my hand and massage into my roots. Any left over product I have, I comb evenly through the rest of my hair.
2. Kristen Ess Blow Dry Mist
I am an avid lover of a good dupe (I mean, who isn't!?), and this $14 Kristen Ess Blow Dry Mist is a complete dupe for the Wow Speed Dry Blow Dry Spray. More shine, more body and more bounce in less time? Sign me up. I spray this throughout my hair, from roots to ends, and then follow with a brush to evenly distribute it.
3. Hot Tools Signature Series Extra Long Round Hair Brush
Can't have a good blowout without a good round brush, am I right or am I right? (I'm right). What I love about this brush specifically is 1. my hair does not get stuck on the bristles and 2. the extra length means even less time and effort required to achieve the perfect blowout. I typically divide my hair into 3 sections (bottom, middle and top), starting in the front of each section and working my way back.
4. Kristen Ess Texture Spray
Wow. Another Kristen Ess product... it's almost like there is a theme here. In all seriousness, I am a BIG fan of this brand, and highly recommend it to all of my friends. I love using this texture spray after a blowout to help hold my style, especially when I curl my hair. It is the perfect level of hold, without ever being sticky or rough! I originally purchased the mini size to try it out, but I will definitely be buying the full size!
