To many, I am defined by the fact that I am an athlete. While that comes with incredible perks, that is not all I am. I am a daughter, a sister. I am a creator and a visionary, a friend and a caretaker. I am a strong, powerful and influential human being. Lastly, I am, and have always been, a writer. I love to write. Whether it is about school, sports, or life in general, my writing has always been a concentrated outpouring of my feelings. I never hold anything back. I am able to fully embody any topic without fear. I am able to be passionate, Writing has always been an escape for me, no matter the situation. However, they key words are "for me." I never shared my writing with other people, not because I was ashamed or thought it wasn't good enough, but simply because I never saw a reason to. I now see a reason. I want my words to be impactful, powerful and not forced to be hidden in a secret word document for years and years to come. I want my words to be read. I want my words to be seen. But most importantly, I want my words to be unfiltered.
